ELEMENTS 12: Version Sets not working

Edited Photos will not save in Version Sets the way they did before. I have read everything that users have posted and this MUST BE FIXED NOW. I can't wait a year for a solution.

Here is the problem - I tried killing the ElementsAutoanalyzer.exe process. It worked for the first photo that I edited but did not work for the next photo or any subsequent photo.

Are you sure the ElementsAutoanalyzer.exe process is totally killed ?
In Windows, you have to check in the task manager if the process is running after you start the organizer. See Barbara's link for Macs.
If it's still running, check if the file has really been renamed.
