Bridge: verify copying or moving

i photograph a project and store it on my computer locally as long as i am working on it. during working on it, i might add photos from the new project to a collection in bridge that already exists and includes photos from various locations. when i finish the project i move it from my local harddrive to my archive on an external harddrive.

- either i move the project to the external drive with a copying tool that verifies the target files before deleting the source files - which makes sense to me, as files could otherwise get damaged without me noticing. when i then open the collection in bridge, it is missing the file i added, because the location has changed and i have to manually look for it.
- or i move the project fromlocal to external within bridge, which updates the location in the collection, but doesnt seem to verify the moving or copying process. therefore i risk damaging files without noticing it.

is there a way to move or copy files from within bridge with a verifying option? or does bridge do that anyway?
should i move this into the request section?
