Lightroom: Using the "edit capture time" feature with multiple photos selected changes the date, but not the time of the other photos

using the "edit capture time" feature with multiple photos selected changes the date, but not the time of the other photos. To repeat:

select 2 photos (first one has the correct capture time, second is the one we wish to change to match the first). Metadata->Edit Capture Time->Change (defaults to adjust to specified date and time, with the date/time set to the capture time of the first photo selected).

second photo's date is changed, but time is set to 12:00:00 AM

Normally, LR will adjust the date *and* time of all the selected photos by the amount that you change the first photo.

I suspect you may have tripped over a bug related to missing metadata dates in one or other of the photos. LR is inconsistent in its handling of date/times when the metadata doesn't include DateTimeOriginal or DateCreated. If you include the two photos in your reply (or post them to pixentral.com and then post the URLs here), we can take a look at their metadata and verify.
