using Lightrooms cc trying to move a photo into Photoshop using Ctrl E but lightrooms photoshop not responding. Right click edit in greyed out.

Check that your image isn't offline. If the image in Lightroom is 'missing', for example because your photo disk is offline, then this menu will be dimmed and the shortcut will not work, for obvious reasons.

I don't know why your disk is offline, but I assume you know how to connect a disk to a computer?...

Your image(s) could also be 'missing' for another reason. If the disk is not offline and they are still missing, then this could be because you moved or renamed the image folders in Explorer. Lightroom doesn't know that, so that's why it sees the entire folder as missing. If you know what you did and where the folder is, go to the folder panel in the Lightroom and right-click on the folder (the name should be in italics and have a question mark). Choose 'Find Missing Folder' in the contextual menu and navigate to the new location of the folder. This also works with a renamed folder.
