Using CS6 and ElCapitan, simple file with 3 layers is 1.5gb and sometimes over 2gb,when should be 400mb and cannot save as psd?

Using El Capitan and CS6: recurring problem when a  simple file with 3 layers is 1.5gb and sometimes over 2gb,when it should be about 400mb and cannot save as psd?

Something in the document really is huge and needs that space.  Try Image -> Reveal All
If that doesn't expose the large content, then it could be part of a layer mask or vector shape (like guides accidentally copied from Illustrator).

Try saving as PSB to handle larger document contents.

Thank you Chris, did that and it revealed that the pp setting was set to cm instead of inches, that seems to account for issue now able to save to pdf. best, robert
