I am using Lightroom and I would appreciate a function for cropping multiple pictures in the exact ratio that i need, I think it would be called user defined aspect ratio. So just add one button that lets me enter my ratio and then let me adjust multiple pictures with that button.
Thanks!

Have you looked at the Quick Develop panel in the Library Module? I think it will do what you are asking.

Select multiple photos in the Grid. Then, select the ratio you want in the Crop Ratio pulldown in the Quick Develop panel, from either the presets or enter a custom value.

I think there's a misunderstanding. I wrote mobile in the title, but didn't repeat in the text. I only have this problem with the mobile version. Is there a mobile-solution as well?

So, you would like Lightroom mobile to have a "Sticky" aspect ratio? And, that that aspect ratio would be custom?

Yes, I think that's it. An aspect ratio-button just like the existing e.g. 1x1, 5x4, 11x8.5, 7x5, ... just changeable. It says "Custom", if you click it you enter a windows where you can choose the ratio and then it stays the same until I change it again.

Would it help to have a cop as part of a kind of Copy&Paste-Setting so that you can apply the crop to the first one and afterwards paste to additional once - Guido

I need this also. It’s one of a very few reasons that make difficult to abandon Classic.

Instagram requires 1.91:1 crops... which is not a standard option in LR mobile

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Custom aspect ratios!!!!.

Custom aspect ratios. Everyone uses this app to create fb and of content, so why not have ratios that match ad requirements?? 16:9, 1:1, 4:5, 2:3 etc (some are missing and a custom ratio would be perfect)

Multiple squares to instagram 2:1 3:1 ratio exports

I’m (a bit) jealous of my friends who bought nice plugins to crop their images and make really nice slide shows of long landscape images in instagram.
I know the process from Photoshop of specifying a crop ratio of 2:1 or even 3:1, 4:1... then making the crop and exporting. I’ve even heard of scripts doing that for me.
I know I could do that in Lr Classic « not manually » by doing all this with virtual copies.
What I’d love now is an automated process in LrCC on mobile to :
1- get those 2:1 3:1 4:1 ratios
2- have options to export squares from there and post my instagram without the need of a desktop computer.

Agreed, custom aspect ration adjustments in LR Mobile seem like an essential that’s missing. Would love to be able to crop images to 2.39:1 or anything user defined and save them as crop presets.
