I installed Photoshop Elements 9 but now it keeps prompting me for a URL everytime I try and use it. I spent 45 minutes to an hour yesterday in an on-line chat with your techs who couldn't help and transferred me to someone else. That tech eventually told me just to ignore the URL prompt. YOU CAN'T IGNORE IT!!! Since then I've been reviewing some forums and there was a tech that resolved the same problem my taking control the customers system remotely and solving the problem. I still need help. This software is useless the way it is..

What do you mean by "prompting me for a URL"? Can you post a screenshot?

That sounds like it just wants you to finish registration for Photoshop.com.

I just took a screen shot and I'm trying to paste it here it won't give that option. How do I get it to you?

No, when I log in with my email and password I get a screen that asks for my Birthday info and a personal URL.

Hi Don,

Is your problem resolved?

Also, please explain what happens when you provide the Birthday and Personal URL.

Also, i am sure about where and how exaclty you get the prompt for the URL.

I am having the same problem. I am new, I put in my name and password, I was then sent to the next page, which asked me to provide my birthday and a personal url. I type in a url in the space provided of which you can use 3 -24 letters and try to continue. There is a Cancel button on the bottom right and next to it a button that says, Update Account. The cancel button is active, but the update button is not. I've tried a few times...nothing.
Now I can't use Elements 9 which I just bought yesterday. When I provide a Personal URL absolutely nothing happens.
HELP!
Thank you.
