I have a full subscription for Revel. Why is Revel not uploading previews? It gets stuck on - uploading 265 previews and stays there. Have I reached a limit? Solution?

Hello Pranav,
How are you uploading your images? Are you using the Revel mac up, Ipad, Iphone or Adoberevel.com? The uploading can take a while if you are doing uploading many images at once. Is it still stuck or do you see a slow progress of images being uploaded?

If you click on the "Gear" settings icon then select your email address, then you should see your account status. It should show "Subscribed". If it shows complentary then it is still under a free account. If that is the issue then I will need to investigate it for you.

Thanks
Scott

Hi Scott,
I have transferred the images from iPhoto to Revel on my iPad2.
The account status says Member ( German version). I updated to Revel Premium via Apple App Store.
Therenis no progress with uploading. It stays at uploading 265 previews and send me a message after some time that I should restart Revel to continue uploading. It stays at 265 images........

Pranav,
Have you been able to upload any images from the camera roll yet and see them?
If you don't have any uploaded, then you might try reinstalling Revel. Then just test with 1-5 images to make sure they are able to upload. Have you tried to login to Adoberevel.com and upload images to your account for testing purposes?
As long as you have internet access on your ipad it should be able to upload your images

Hi Scott,
I checked the web site. It shows all the albums that I have created. From the 24 - 29 March the individual albums show images. The import has stopped from the 30.3.2013 - although the images are present on the iPad.

I have tried to upload images for the 31.3.2013 without success but I am still familiarizing myself with the program and the web site.

I am not sure what will happen if I delete the app. Will have to reimport all the images again?
I have a very good internet connection here (up to 30 Mbit/s) so uploading should not be a problem.

Here is our FAQ post "How to uninstall Revel" http://forums.adobe.com/message/51498.... Yes you might have to reimport some of the images depending if they were uploaded from that computer or not
Its always best to have a back up of the images
Let me know how this works for you
Thanks
Scott

Ok Scott,
Here we go.
I have backups of all photos from my holodays in iPhoto and I can re-import them.
So I will try and delete the program from my iPad and try and re-install and import the images again.
I hope this works.
I will keep you posted.
Thanks for your help - I wish the program worked better but that's the way it crumbles - cookiewise ;-)

Hi Scott,
Somehow Revel does not like me. i am trying to import images from the camera roll into an album on the iPad. Revel tells me it is importing the images but after the import no images are seen in the album. Importing again does not work either - I get a message that the duplicate images were not imported. BUT I cannot find the images in the album or the library.
I tried the same procedure on my Macbook Air. The same thing happens.
Images are not seen in the album and the library.
Sorry - but I am having terrible experiences with this program.
If there is no solution, I would prefer not to use program and would like to get my money back.
Kind regards, Pranav

Hi Scott,
I seem to have found the probem. It was most probably a corrupted library. I deleted the old library and am now trying to import all the images sorted by day and it seems to work. It s also uploading images since I can see them in adoberevel.com.
Give me a little more time. I will get back to you.
Cheers, Pranav

Pranav,
Good job in troubleshooting that issue with the different libraries. Yes it would be best to upload to a new one to test with. The only down fall is that there is not a way to transfer images from one library to another. I have submitted that as a feature request already.
Ok let me know if everything is working
Thanks
Scott

Up till now all is going well. The new libraries are seen with the images on the iPhone as well as on the Macbook Air.
I will post you tomorrow after the import of all images has been accomplished.
Thanks for the help.
Cheers, Pranav

Hi Scott,
All is well that ends well.
All imports and uploads complete.
All libraries and albums can be seen on the iPhone, iPad and Macbook Air.
Nice to use once you get to know the program. Really happy with it - especially the Premium version - it is worth the money.
For other customer - tell them they need a good internet connection. I have 30 Mbit/s download and about 5 Mbit/s upload. Things work faster with fast connections.
Kindest regards, Pranav
