Upload a list of filenames to select various images at a time

As a user I'd like to upload a (text)list of filenames to LR to select various images at a time, so I don't have to type in every file name manually. This would help if I get lists of photos from the client with those images that have to be retouched or exported in a higher resolution. - Upload as a simple text file - Selection is valid for currently selected folder

You can do this already. Using the Library filter, you can paste in a list of file names into the Text search field.

Hi Rikk, thanks for your swift answer.

Seems I'm doing sth wrong: If I enter one of the file names, the image is displayed.
If I enter more than one, nothing is displayed. I tried separating the names with  comas, semicolons. I tried "contains", "contains all", "Contains words"

Thanks

Set the filter to Filename>Contains> xxxx xxxx xxxx
where xxxx is the file you are searching for.

There's also a nifty little plugin called photo list importer. It offers a few additional features but of course, Rikk's suggestion is the most straightforward way.
