Upgrading to LR 5 loses External Editing Presets

When upgrading a LR4 catalog to LR5, external editor presets are not handled. The presets appear in the folder (stored with the catalog), but only one (Sliver Efex) is visible in the Photeo/EditIn dialog (in addition to PS CS6), though Viveza and Color Efex presets exist in the folder. Non are visible via the Preferences/ExternalEditing dialog.

One more question - Are you able to re-create one of the failing presets in Lr5? I want to make sure more than one preset shows up in the list.

Thanks,
Jeff

Yes, when I go and add them again, they appear and work as expected. See also separate issue report re missing user develop presets, just above.

Give this a try- go to preferences> Click the presets tab> Location > check on "Store presets with this catalog" > quit and restart Lightroom.
This should force LR to look in the proper location for your presets. Please let me know if this works.
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

The preference is already checked (and has been toggled to confirm). This seems to be related: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...

Yes that seems to be the same issue here.
"Copying the old presets to the new location does resolve the problem."
Have you tried this for external editor presets?

Hi Jeff,

This is a little different. As mentioned in the OP, the presets ARE in the folder, but are not "seen" - except for one. The other two are ignored, as if they are not there.

I'd like to take a look at the problem presets. Would you be willing to share those with me?
