what type of files, jpg, psd? you might try resetting PS. immediately after clicking the PS icon, hold down ctrl-alt-shift and say yes to reset the preference file

Do you get an error? What OS? How are you opening the files? Try these steps to fix most issues: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/basic-trouble-shooting-steps.html

I'm not able to open a jpg, png, pdf file ... the only way to see an image is to create a new photoshop file and import it, embed it on my created document.

Try uninstalling whatever version you have installed and install Photoshop CC from Adobe.com: https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/catalog/desktop.html?promoid=KRUVM

i have the same issue. i updated my driver (really all the driver) and install/uninstall every creative cloud program I had, did factory reset on my motherboard and graphic card.  Photoshop does not recognize all my ram.

My graphic card runs well and all my ram work well as well.  The problem is isolated to adobes program in my case.
