I have been using Elements 8 for years. I purchased a newer camera and needed to upgrade my Elements to still be able to edit in raw. I upgraded to 14 via internet download and was pretty excited.
I went in to edit my photo and found I am missing the the layers panel. When I select duplicate layer there isn't a panel to adjust the opacity or see which layer I am working on...Help! Plus the new format seems to have either moved the features elsewhere or there just aren't as many as there used to be....

Nevermind, I restarted the window and the layers icon showed up in lower right hand corner...

If you can't find a palette, check the Window menu to show/hide the palette -- they can sometimes be hidden behind other palettes.
