Update / upgrade confusion re Lightroom Classic CC

I am using Lightroom 6. I do not have a subscription to Lightroom Classic CC. However, the Adobe CC status menu tells me that there is an *update* available in 'My Apps & Services' - Lightroom Classic CC. This is misleading because Lightroom Classic CC is separate from Lightroom 6. It is an upgrade, sure, but it is not an update in the sense that is usually understood for software. I feel that this should be much clearer: perhaps by relabelling the button to 'upgrade' or moving Lightroom Classic CC to 'Trial Apps'. I made the mistake of clicking on this button thinking I would get an update Lightroom 6 (just with different branding) and it removed my installed copy of Lightroom 6. I have just lost an hour or so of my time reinstalling software that I already had (after finding this discussion: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2396741).

My mate also had this. He texted me he had got th latest version for free, even though he doesn't have a subscription. He was embarrassed when i pointed it out to him.
