In Lightroom 4, in Slideshow, the caption is displayed with quotation marks, even though they are not in the caption! How do I get rid of the quotation marks, and just display the caption?

I can't see any quotation marks. Can you post a screen capture?

I am referring to the caption on each photo in the Slideshow. The caption is typed into the Metadata in the Library section, and is an optional addition to each photo in the Slideshow. For example, in the Metadata, one could type in the caption: Sunrise at the Beach. Then in the Slideshow, if a caption is desired and selected, it would appear during the Slideshow as: "Sunrise at the Beach". I prefer no quotation marks, as they are not part of my caption, and detract from the simplicity and visual impact of the original caption. Lightroom 3 had no quotation marks, but they were added in Lightroom 4, and appear to be a permanent part of the software??

Click the text item, then in Slideshow's toolbar there's a drop down in the middle. Choose "Caption" from it.

If the quotes are still there. you have probably modified it. From that drop down box, choose Edit.
