Very unusual shapen/blur pattern(s) for ACR and Canon SL1.

Canon SL1 RAW files processed as usual with ACR exibit a strange pattern of blur/sharpness. Areas which should be "contant" e.g. sky or clouds end up having alternating stripes of sharpness and blur. It's not something obvious (some might call it pixel peeping) but it's clearly visible to a trained eye on A2 prints or 100% screen.

Here's a bigger cut, you can see the effect better; it's just as if somebody has been painting randomly with wither a sharpen brush or a soften one.

Ia this behavior something normal for SL1 RAW files? Because I can tell you RAW files from 5D MKIII do NOT exhibit this kind of pattern, they're uniformly sharp or soft depending on the chosen parameters.
