Hello. I am a web designer from Russia. I ask: 1) Make UNPACKING smart objects. It is very necessary. Decompress back to the main document. 2) Make the ability to edit, change the smart object directly to the MAIN document. It is comfortably and correctly for artist. Detached windows uncomfortable. NO NEW editing window smart object. Thank you.

Neither of your requests are generally possible -- Smart Objects can have different color modes, bit depth, and resolutions than the parent document in addition to the transforms and filters applied to them.

The only time it is really possible is the trivial case after converting layers to a smart object, where "undo" would work just as well.

Well, Mr.Cox has already explained why the request is not feasible for the time being.

And while I consider unpacking Smart Objects generally unnecessary that part could be automated with a Script to some degree – naturally issues Mr. Cox has raised apply, like not all Adjustment Layers can exist in or be translated to all Color Spaces.

My script can do it: http://bereza.cz/ps/

Anyway it can't deal with different color modes, bit depth and filters. Now only scale transformation works. But I ussualy don't have different color modes ect.

Always good to see when Scripters freely share the fruits of their efforts.
