I had photoshop installed on two of my home computers. One of them crashed, so we got rid of it and got a new one. I was wondering how I could deactivate photoshop on that computer so that I am able to install it on the newer one that we have.

If you're planning to get rid or an old computer but it still runs, choose Help>Deactivate... or Help>Sign-Out... to remove the activation from the computer before you dispose of the computer or sell it. Instructions here: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/po...

If you are using Photoshop CS6 or earlier and you've lost an activation because of a hardware failure and the system no longer runs, go to this page and work with a chat agent. They should be able to restore your activation: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/po...

Creative Cloud has an easier process: When you log-in and encounter that you're signed in and activated on two other systems, you will be asked if you want to deactivate the other systems so you can sign-in and start using the current system immediately. This eliminates lost activations from dead systems or systems you don't have ready access to.
