I recently installed my student version of CS6, but none of the keyboard commands are valid (File, Edit, Image etc., the keyboard commands have a "not equal sign" instead of a functioning letter command. These commands work fine in other Adobe programs.

For example:

Undo ⌘ ≠

Step Forward ⇧ ⌘ ≠

Step Backward ⌥ ⌘ ≠

Operating System: OSX 10.9 Mavericks

You might have an application that takes over those short cuts. Try restarting the Mac holding down the shift key. Also, try restarting Photoshop with shift key, in case you have a conflicting 3rd party plug-in.

Hello, did you try to save that KBSC file under a given name. I think others went to the menu, changed stuff without saving, and that's what they get when they return.

Hi Gary,

I've never heard of a problem like this, so I'm curious to see what's going on. If you continue to have trouble, please ping me here and I can set up a screen-share over the internet in order to get to the bottom of your problem.

Thanks,
David
