After I edit a photo, I try to save it and get this error message:

I'm using Photoshop Elements 5.0.
I've checked for updates (none) and reset my prefs.
I edited the photo then tried to "Save as.." It happens with any photo. I have tried re-booting my computer.
This action worked about 2 weeks ago. I have not added any programs or made any updates since then.

Did you try re-installing Photoshop Elements?

Do you see the Save As window appear? If so, where are you attempting to save the files to? Try saving to a different location, such as your desktop.

If the Save As windows doesn't appear, are you able to get to the Open window?

As this worked until recently, you may want to try working with Elements from a new user account.

Yes, the "save as..." popup window opens. I tried saving to different folders as well as the desktop, but I get the same error message.
I do not open Elements with a user account. I just start the program and start working.

Every time you turn on your computer and work, you are in a user account. You can create a new one from the Control Panel under Users. Make sure it has Administrator privileges. You can log out of your account from the Start Menu right next to the Shut Down button. A new user account will use the default settings for everything. You can always return to your original user account, so nothing is lost.
