Yeah hi. I posted a comment yesterday - I guess you guys didn't like it being out front there cos it wasn't that nice. So now you probably deleted it.
My problem is however that my hard disk crashed and I have this you beaut legal CS3 program on cd disk that I cannot install cos it won't let me. Keeps telling me that it something is wrong. I don't know what to do. I purchased it from a shop a couple of years ago and now that I have a new hard disk - I am unable to install it. Please can you help me - It IS A LEGAL DISK. I purchased it unopened brand new and I am so frustrated from not getting any help cos when I try to contact you guys from here in Oz, my questions get unanswered. You apparently do not have a phone number anywhere here.
Please help. I cannot afford to upgrade to the latest version - my computer will not take the latest version anyway I am still using Windows XP.
Ta so much
demoralised!!! :(

Hi!
Could you tell us what is the error message that you receive.
I can understand that your situation can be frustrating, but it is often better to vent in real life, so that you are better prepared to seek help online... Please give all details, so that we are not shooting in the dark.
For instance, you did not state what service pack you already applied, what error message you received, when you did get it, during install, at launch?
Also, what steps did you perform: did you reach the activation stage, did you activate, did you try to uninstall with this tool, prior to trying to install again: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/...

In short, help us help you!

Sandy, I can have someone help you. I can't see any contact information for you, though. I'd need an email address (which you can make visible to admins of the feedback site through your account security settings) or a case # you have with Adobe.

Hi PECourtejoie,

I don't understand what you mean by service pack. I simply tried to install Adobe CS3 on my new hard drive and then it goes through the entire installation process and completes it successfully.
I get this: Summary
Successfully installed Adobe CS3
Shared Components.
I click OK then goes back to desktop (XP with all three service packs installed)
Now I try to run Adobe CS3 and I get this:

You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling ad reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help.
OK

So press ok and now - can't use this product.
I did not even get to the activation stage at all. Usually when I have done this in the past, the first thing I see after trying to use it for the first time is that I get the activation screen. So here I can simply activate it.
Now I are not even getting to that stage. Is there a way I can by pass what ever is the problem? Have tried to look at various forums - with little success.

I have tried to repair the problem - instead of uninstalling...
I have tried uninstalling...
I have even deleted the folders after uninstalling..
there must be something I am not doing right.

Please help me to help you to help me further and thanks for answering my question.

Sandy Cee

PS - the number on the disk says: 90082234 DVS/A PHSP, 10.0 WIN GEN WWE. As well as my serial number

Hi Sandy,

The error you've described is related to the Licensing service not running or working. I would suggest working through this document:

Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Windows
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405970....

I would recommend actually starting with Solution 2 in the document first. Please try this and let me know if it helps.
