Lightroom: Unable to move folders between hard drives in library.

Whenever I try to move a folder from my working drive to my archive drive (a network drive), it fails with a popup: "Could not complete the folder move. An unknown error occured." Moving files within the same hard drive works fine.

I can move files by themselves just fine (i.e. select all, create new folder on destination and move them). That isn't really acceptable because I use seveal outside tools that also create support files (e.g. panorama stitcher) inside the folder and these need to stay with my raw and jpeg files forever just like everything else.

This used to work fine until some time after my upgrade to windows 8.

I'm on LR 4.3 (no upgrades pending).

I have cleared my preferences and it doesn't help.

I should also say that I can develop, export and whatever on the files on the network drive just fine. I can even import directly there. Everything else works fine. It is just moving folders that fails now.
