LR4: Unable to add new photos to old books

In Light Room 4, once a book has been started you can only currently use photos from a specific folder, rather than being able to flick from folder to folder and add to the one book. Why is this? In most other book creating softwares you are able to select photos from a number of different folders. The scenario - I was creating a wedding album and upon completion the bride had asked if I could add a few photos that were taken by her guests, she emailed them over and I imported them and edited them in LR 4, however I find that whenever I click on the book section to edit my current book, it keeps setting up a new book leaving me unable to add the new photos to the existing book and being placed with the unhappy prospect of starting from scratch for a handful of photos!! Is it possible to add this to a future update?

Are you selecting your saved book from the Collections panel first? You did save it there?

Great, try this. In the Library module, find the photos you want to add, and drag them over to the saved book in the Collections panel. Then switch back to the Book module, select the saved book and the photos will be there waiting for you.

Thank you so much for this! I can't tell you how much this has made my week! I was really beginning to lose the plot with it all, especially after receiving a reply from adobe live chat that there was no way of doing this and that I was just 'stuck with it'! Thank you very very much! :)

I just tried to move the folder with the photos in it and it didn't work. Do I need to move it photo by photo?
