When I try to launch Lightroom CC 2015 on a new computer (iMac 5K 27in Oct 2015 model), I get the following message preventing me from using my existing catalogue:

"The Lightroom catalog “Lightroom Catalog” is corrupt and cannot be used or backed up until it is repaired.

The repair operation may take several minutes to complete and should not be interrupted while in progress."

Can anyone tell me why this message is appearing and if there is any way to use this catalogue and avoid having to start all over again by creating new catalogue.

A message with further instructions will be displayed when the process is complete.

The most likely suspect is the catalog became corrupted while it was being transferred from the other computer. Do you still have the catalog on the other computer, and can you try transferring it again?
