Unable to update to latest version of CC Lightroom (El Capitan)

Is it possible for me to get the latest version of CC Lightroom downloaded and running on my Mac Pro running El Capitan?

My CC app (3.7.0.272) has not recognized there have been at least three updates to Lightroom since the currently installed version.

Attempts to manually initiate an update through the adobe website produces no results either. The download web page opens an says “downloading” but it is not. I cannot seem to find an alternate Direct Download link for the latest version of Lightroom CC (2015.4-2015.6).

Forum searches have yielded no answers or solutions to my specific question.

Thank you, yes. That is the page I sourced the updates from most recently.

The Lightroom 6 link installs the same version I had installed CC 2015 [1014445].
When I initiate install of any of the other updates linked there the update fails with the following:
"Updates couple not be applied... ""Updates have been suppressed by the Administrator."

This is an enterprise level user license if that makes a difference.

If you have an Enterprise Level license, you will need to speak to your Administrator - typically in your IT department.

I am waiting for them to have a look at it. However this is the first instance since we started using CC  that this has occurred. Updates have not been an issue till now.

Try uninstall and reinstall the CC 2015 [1014445] that you have.

Not sure if it will make a difference, try https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-downloads.html, download and install the CC 2015/6  there (you can use the [1014445] install that you have already download), and then download the 6.6 path and install over [1014445].

Simon, thank you. I've tried all of that already and multiple times. Short of reverting back to the previous mac OS I am baffled!

Waiting to hear back from my IT dept. Maybe there is something on the admin side that is preventing this?

Ok. This suggestion sounds like a big hammer, you might want to try https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html first.

But yes, did try that too already.
Sorry I did not include all of the steps I had taken up to the point when I posted on the forum.

On it's face, it seems like it is something the Enterprise deployment people need to fix for you; however, several years ago an errant condition occurred with one of the configuration files that also caused the problem, so if the files are still in the location they were several years ago, then the following information may help:  https://forums.adobe.com/message/4758115

Thanks Steve. It might be the IT that intentionally tried to prevent automatic CC update https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/disable-auto-updates-application-manager.html.

Simon gave you the official Adobe page that explains the same situation, which is the same as the link in the "Correct Answer" in the forum thread I sent.

The peculiarity of this is then when did this become an issue. The CC app had been providing me with update notifications for some to the apps as well as update through the CC app as recently as two months ago, Indesign for example. But it had not recognized there were updates for lightroom and photoshop dating back months.
