Photoshop CC 2017.0.1: Unable to print

I have this problem, "There was an error opening your printer..." The rest of the error message reads "Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer & reopened any documents".

I do not get a pop-up window to select a printer and I cannot find a way to choose the printer for Photoshop like you can in Lightroom. I have read all the comments and tried all the fixes and still cannot print from Photoshop and ONLY Photoshop.

I installed new drives for both the Canon Pro 10 and the Canon Pixma MG6620. I use the printers wirelessly from a MAC with OS Sierra v.10.12.3. I also tried switching my default printer. None of these solutions fixed my problem and I still cannot print from Photoshop. I have no problem printing from Lightroom or any other program.

This is a recent problem with the newest update to Photoshop CC (2017.0.1)  Is there a way that I can go back to an earlier version until this bug is fixed?

I can't help you with your printer but you can install PS CC 2015 through the CC app. It can even run alongside PS 2017. I have 3 versions installed, and at times run 2 at the same time because something works in PS 2015 that isn't working in 2017. Look in your CC app under Apps to find it. My screenshots should show you the way.

Good luck.

Oh - no - I now have this problem too, and can't go back to an earlier version (at least, I can't see that available now its Photoshop CC 18). My older printer (Epson 3880) will not print from Photoshop, yet does from Lightroom. I have reloaded the printer drivers - recognised by every program on mMac other than Photoshop. I have come to a grinding halt with my work. Anyone have any suggestions here .... am getting desperate.

I am also getting this error.  I just installed a new printer and it printed once, and now I am getting this error and it shuts down. I click on File/Print and it give me the error and shuts down.  It will not open up the print options so that I can select the correct printer.  I am also getting desperate!!!!  Help.

Try holding down the Space Bar when you select File > Print...

I was actually able to get mine to work again.  What I did was uninstalled my printer and the opened PhotoShop and tried to print.  It couldn't find any printer associated with it.  Then we re-installed the printer and then I was able to go in and select File/Print and then I could tell it which printer to print to and it printed just fine.
