Unable to Authorize Facebook from Lightroom

For some reason, I cannot authorize Facebook from lightroom.  When I hit "Ok", nothing happens.  I've googled and tried everything (clearing cache, changing default browser, rebooting my Mac), and nothing helps.  Please do NOT merge this with any posts about not able to share because I can't even get to the point where I'm trying to share, I cannot even authorize.  Thank you.

Try restart your computer. It might clear some cached auth-token? What is the version of your Lr Classic CC? Try to update to Lr Classic CC 7.3.1 and check if helps.

Try giving your Mac the "once over"! Run the free Onyx (https://www.titanium-software.fr/en/onyx.html), reboot. (In Onyx just run everything in the Automation tab, it may clear out a cache that is corrupt). Also run Disk Warrior if you can ($120),  (https://www.alsoft.com), reboot. If you can't do Disk Warrior, at least run First Aid from Disk Utility. Also try launching Lightroom from your other (admin or test) account, with a new catalog, as a test. Does it run OK?

Also just doing a "Safe Boot" can clear out caches (restart, hold down shift until you see "Safe Boot" on the screen.

It may help if we could see your Lightroom System Info. Launch Lightroom, and select Help > System Info... and copy/paste the text in a reply.

There is a known issue with activating with Lightroom: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-cc/kb/cannot-share-to-facebook.html (Facebook changed their activation API - and our engineers are working with Facebook to correct the problem)
