I have a registered copy Photoshop CS3. It was purchased to load on a PC with Windows XP. I am planning to replace my PC with a Windows 7.1 OS. Will I need to upgrade my current copy of CS3? How should I handle the transfer of Photoshop?

If you're planning to get rid or an old computer but it still runs, choose Help>Deactivate... or Help>Sign-Out... to remove the activation from the computer before you dispose of the computer or sell it. Instructions here:

If you are using Photoshop CS6 or earlier and you've lost an activation because of a hardware failure and the system no longer runs, go to this page and work with a chat agent. They should be able to restore your activation:

If you have the serial #, but lost your disk or your computer doesn't have a disk drive, download from here:

Keep in mind that CS3 wasn't designed to run on Windows 7, so your mileage may vary.
