Premier Elements 10: How do I trim a video clip?

I would like to trim a video clip from a certain start point and eliminate everything behind it. I have already added a small clip in front of the clip that I want to trim. On a tutorial video, I saw a bracket and an arrow pointing left or right. I assume I need the bracket with the right arrow to eliminate everything behind the starting point. Where is that bracket with the arrow found on the menu for the Timeline??

Please note that Premiere Pro and Premiere Elements are very different programs.
It sounds like you are using Premiere Elements.

Thanks Chris,
I only had a 32 bit PC at the time and today I am getting the 64 bit with the Adobe CS6 package with a video editor upgrade.
