When you say "transforming images" are you using the Image>Image Size... command? If so, what is your resolution? If the pixel dimensions calculate out to be larger than 30,000px on a side you have a problem. Reduce the resolution so the result is less than 30k px on a side.

Photoshop 7 didn't support documents over 30,000 pixels tall or wide, and something about your transformation would make the document larger than that. Check your parameters closely and make sure your document doesn't get larger than 30,000 pixels in either direction.

More recent versions of Photoshop can work with documents up to 300,000 pixels in either dimension. (and much larger files as well)

The base install of CS6 should install on XP: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/sys...

Where did you purchase from? No one is selling CS6 any longer.

Are you installing from disc? Or from a download? If a download, from which URL?

Also, XP is no longer being supported by Microsoft and was EOLed a while back.
