Lightroom Classic: Slow to render guided transform

The latest Lightroom cc update 9.2 running on brand new MacBook pro , os Catalina 15.3 is taking an absolute age to apply / render transformations. This used to be a quick process. Please can you fix.

Hi Andrew,

To know the issue better, could you please give more information.

Is this happening even on a single image, or are you applying transform on multiple images?
What kind of image(s) ?
What was the transform setting you are trying to apply?
Does it happen on a particular transform setting or all transform settings?
Could you please share the system information (Lightroom - Help - System information)

Hi Arjun. Thanks for taking an interest.

Images are architectural photos shot on a canon 1dxmkii they have heavy pesepective transform using the guided transform to straighten the verticals.

They are single images not batch transforms. With other corrections such as basic tone, lens corrections and detail (sharpening and noise) and graduated filter. Plenty for the program to handle but not unusual in my workflow but practically causing the computer to crash, causing the program to hang for multiple minutes while it try’s to render the image when browsing through and also taking a long time to apply the guided transform. Again multiple minutes. System info below. The system used to handle them /similar images fine before the latest os and Lightroom updates.

Hi Andrew,

Could you please run a small exercise to see if it is a catalog specific issue? 
Can you just import only these architectural images in a new catalog and try the same operations? Does it slow down there as well?
If you could please share those images with me (haarithg@adobe.com), with a small video describing your workflow, it would be helpful.
