Hi all, first post, I've found these forums really helpful!

Long-time Lightroom Classic user, I'm new to the CC ecosystem and trying to find my workflow.
Is there a way to upload RAW files to my iPad Pro after a shoot, edit them and transfer the edited RAWS back into LR Classic when I get home without having to upload originals to the cloud and wait for them all to re-download into Classic?

No, not this day, it is necessary to pass by Cloud and LR....

I was afraid you’d say that...feels unnecessarily cumbersome when I already have the files. An option for synching just XMP sidecars or smart previews would be really useful.

But by the time you get home the files will have ALREADY downloaded into LR Classic, so there's no waiting, no cumbersome. The only thing then is you have to then move them from All Synced Photographs into a newly created folder in Lightroom, and then remove them (or not) from All Synced Photographs (if you want to regain your cloud space).
