I would like to see the ability to search for images with no titles. You can do it for keywords and captions so this appears to be an oversight.

Agreed.

As a work around you can search for Title [doesn't contain] a e i o u y Unless you have a title composed exclusively of consonants or numbers, that should get them.

Agreed. Another workaround is to use the Any Filter plugin, which lets you search for any metadata field that's empty, including Title.

Rikk,

That is what I ended up doing but it's kind of an ugly solution.

We should be allowed to search on a null value for any field but especially the text fields.

See my Search Replace Transfer plugin. Its Parse and Audit command identifies images with no titles and other missing metadata.

Doubtful it's an oversight since it's been that way since the beginning and has never been changed. I agree that the capability should be there. Meanwhile, the plug-ins can help.

"We should be allowed to search on a null value for any field but especially the text fields."

This is a specific case of a more general problem, the lack of exact match with text-valued fields. For example, you can't search for exact keyword match, which can be a problem with large keyword vocabularies given LR's current text operators. There are a number of threads that have discussed this over the last several years.
