Photoshop: Timeline unify flags are greyed out for groups

The timeline unification buttons are greyed out for group layers. This means that it's not possible to have group visibility, styles, etc. remain fixed across all timeline frames. For example, I have two groups on a single timeline, with one layer in each group visible per frame. The groups are layered for editing, but I want to render them out as two separate files, so they can be composited together separately later. I should be able to turn on visibility unify for the two main groups, so I can easily switch which set is visible when rendering (also useful for editing). This doesn't work, so when I render I have to manually select all frames to switch the groups for every frame.(Of course, unify on a group shouldn't imply unifying the layers inside the group.)

I run into this problem as well.

Additionally, manually selecting all frames won't work for layer styles on a group. It will only change the group's style for one frame. So to change the style on a group over a whole animation, I have to manually go to each frame and change the style.

Please let us unify groups!
