TIFFs with Image Pyramids are changed in PS 16.1 and 16.1.1.

In Photoshop 16.1 and 16.1.1 images saved as Image Pyramids are not usable in other software that we use.

I hope that it's a bug and can be fixed.

The TIFF writing code hasn't change in a long time.
What software is failing to read the files?

It's the eRez Imaging Server (btw. a product/company that Adobe bought a few years ago).

TIFFs with Image Pyramids saved in 16.0.x or earlier works fine, but images saved in 16.1 or 16.1.1 can't be read.

My guess is that it is due to a metadata change, since the TIFF format itself is pretty unchanged for many years.
But we'll have to work with the makers of the server to see why their TIFF reading code is not working.

The product is not in development anymore. Adobe bought the company a few years back and dropped the product.

What changes are there to metadata?

Regular TIFFs work fine. LZW and ZIP compressed work fine, but when saved with image pyramid, it doesn't work.

The logs throws a java.io.EOFException.

I can't find anything about Adobe buying the company, and there are still versions available on the web.

And, oh, it's using an old Java implementation of a TIFF reader -- that is most likely the source of the problem (the java TIFF reader was never very good).
