The mystery white square.

There you are working away and when you magnify your photo suddenly there is with white square about the same size as I keep my side panels when extended. It is just white and it appears in the same place. There is now nothing left to do but stop working and save quite the picture and then go back in. If you are lucky it has gone if you are unlucky it's still there. Sometimes you can quite photoshop. Once I lost the picture it would not re-load and I had to start all over again.

I hope the update would fix this but no it is still there.

I am on a macbook pro running Mavericks 10.9

What version of Photoshop are you running?

When you say "I hope the update would fix this but no it is still there. " do you mean a Photoshop update or updating to Mavericks?

If the former, did the problem happen prior to updating to Mavericks?

Are you using a wacom tablet or have a wacom driver installed?
