The healing brush(CS5) changes are not printed.

I print what I see on the screen and have used the healing brush to erase a smudge. The smudge is gone yet it prints on my Epson 4900 printer.

Further, I saved the file so that the changes are really saved. I opened the file again and all the smudges were gone as they should be. However, when I printed the image the smudges were again printed.

HELP!

That seems peculiar indeed.
Are you talking about a flattened or layered file? (Because in the first case the information would not even be in the image.)

Hi Christoph,
The image is now flattened, saved as a JPEG, reopened and the in CS5 the smudge is gone. However, as soon as I print the image the smudge reappears again. For me this moots all the work I have done with the healing brush.

The smudge and other marks apear just to the north west of the peak.

The smudges do not appear when I open the jpeg in Photoshop, yet the appear in the saved image and in the printed image. I must be missing some important concept in cleaning up scanned images and resaving them.
