With the new Lightroom CC ist is not possible to save the Catalogue. My computer runs with Windows 7. All Windowsupdates are are new. There is enough place on my hard disk. The old version of Lightroom CC saves the cataloge without any problem, but it cannot read the raw of my new camera. I need Lightroom urgently.

Can you describe what happens? Do you get an error message? If so, what does it say? Lightroom saves its catalog automatically, without user intervention. If you open an older catalog in Lightroom CC, it asks you permission to convert it and then again it saves it (as a copy) automatically.

Thank you for your comment.

Yes I get an error message:
It says. Check your allowence for the folder and make sure there is enough place for saving the files on the hard disk and in the main catalogue.

I do not get this message before uploading the update of lightroom cc and I did not get it after downloading the older version again (the older version cannot read the file of Canon 5D Mark 4).

My hard disk has about 490 GB free available space. I deleted all Lightroom back ups from 2011-August 2016 to have more space available.

When I open an old catalogue it cant save the actual catologue either an gives the same error message.

Sounds like you are trying to save the images in a folder while you do not have write permissions for that folder.

Did. anything change in the Lightroom Update regarding the folder? I've been using that folder with all other Lightroom versions without any Problems. Last time last week. The new LR also thinks there is not enough place to save the files although 490 GB is available.

Since the update doesn't Seen to work, is there a possibility just to Update the Camera raw in the old LR Version?i

No, Lightroom contains the same raw-engine as camera raw, but it doesn't use Camera Raw. You can't update an older version of Lightroom by updating Camera Raw.

Do you have 'Make a Second Copy to' selected in the import dialog? Perhaps the warning refers to lack of space or write permissions of the destination of the second copy.

No, " second copy" in the import Dialog is not choosen.

I read in the Internet about people having the Same problem I have. They could help themselves by using the old LR version. Because of my new camera I can't do that.

Maybe it's a bug that might be solved in an update. For the time being, you can use Adobe DNG Converter and convert the images to DNG before you import them. That will work with older versions of Lightroom (but be sure you have the latest version of DNG Converter).

Thank You very much. I will try that next Weekend. Is it possible to convert the pictures of my new camera ( about 3200, already with Stars and colours worked on) with the New LR ? And does the catalogue remember my work in dng in the old Version?

Yes, you can use the latest version of Lightroom to convert any images that you managed to import already, but I though that was exactly the problem: that you cannot import those.

The catalog remembers anything you did.
