What product? Not working in what way? Do you get an error?

I like to use solid colour as an overwash in some editing but it comes up with terrible colours when trying to decide what blending mode to use, it is useless trying to use it this way as the photo is wrecked. I am really not long into learning photoshop and this is difficult for me. Thank you for your help.

I would try with Preferences > Performance... Legacy Compositing unchecked. If that doesn't work - check your graphics driver and make sure it is up to date.
