Hey guys, since I did the Photoshop update two days ago it has been completely stuffing up. It won't let me move selected layers and the Text tool keeps stuffing up. I click on it but it won't let me edit anything. Never encountered this before!

What version of Photoshop?

What OS/version are you running on?

Try these steps to fix most issues: http://bit.ly/Troubleshoot_PS

I suspect restoring your prefs would fix it.

Hi Maria,

What precisely do you mean when you say that the text is "stuffed up"? What problem are you encountering? What happens when you click on text? You say you cannot edit it, but what does the application do? Also, as Jeff asked, what OS are you running on and what version of PS are you running?

Thanks,
David

Ok everyone, I'm so sorry. In my absolute frustration I clearly did't explain it well. I am running on Mac Maverick using PS 6 off creative cloud. When I say 'stuffing up' I mean absolutely not working. Any layer I click on ends up only moving the background layer. Text can't be edited after it's been created and the entire thing isn't functioning correctly (I've been using photoshop for 4 years now). So rather than in-depth list every single thing I was more just wondering if anyone else was also having trouble after the update? I might uninstall and reinstall and see how we go.

Hi Maria,

Did you try any of the troubleshooting steps I suggested above?

Hi Maria,

Don't reinstall. Just make sure you have the latest update and follow the steps that Jeff suggested. If the problem continues, we can do a web-hosted screenshare to solve the issue. Just send me an email and we can go from there, but FIRST please go through the above troubleshooting steps.

Thanks,
David
