Why on earth is the flag, rating and label metadata shown as TEXT rather than ICONS at the top left of Loupe view in Library mode? It's much harder to understand at a glance than flag, star and label icons would be.

LR's UI has a long way to go. Adobe needs to learn more from Aperture.

I need to READ this?

Note that you can get iconic representations of flag, star, and label via the toolbar at the bottom (View > Show Toolbar):

Thanks! That is better.

There are so many different panels and toolbars, and their display options are scattered about the View and Window menus. Not to mention there's no consistency in their keyboard shortcuts. Plus, sorting is done in the Toolbar [T], which is at the bottom, but filtering is done in the Filter Bar [\], which is at the top. Seems to me these two are related and should be combined. Very confusing.

Plus, it's still absurd that Adobe used text in the Loupe Info Overlay when they use icons everywhere else.
