LIGHTROOM - Text search requires a space after the final list item.

Haven't tried other configurations, but searching "filename" and "contains" (rather than "contains all") ignores the final item unless it has a space after it. It's as if your delimiter check isn't falling back to an "or is end of input" check when it gets a list.

I'm experiencing this in the latest LR CC, but it's been a problem since LR4.

Example: I do a filename search for Bob,Ted and Jim as "Bob Ted Jim"—it won't find any instances of Jim unless I put a space at the end.

Jim's a good guy. Don't let him get overlooked like this :-)

I cannot duplicate this Roger. When I enter the Contains >Bob Ted Jim with no space at the end it finds the files correctly.

I would recommend a preference file reset to see if the problem remains.
Exit Lightroom
Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] and launch Lightroom
[Reset Preferences] when prompted.

Does it still behave the same way?

If the reset doesn't work, please post full resolution screenshot of entire LR window showing what you've typed in the filter bar (with a space at the end) and the matching images. Make sure that in View > View Options you've set the Cell Extras to show File Name, so that the filename will show on each thumbnail. LR's search has a number of context-dependent bugs, so this screenshot will give clues as to what might be going on, how to reproduce it, and how to workaround it.
