Text layers and smart objects randomly display with a portion cut off. Only corrects if I nudge it up or down.

I’ve been having this issue since I updated to Photoshop CC 2019, but nearly every time I create a new text layer (and occasionally smart objects), once I commit the text it cuts a portion of it off. Seems to be a rendering issue or something. The only way to correct it is to nudge the text layer up or down. And it actually exports like this if I don’t correct it. Here’s a quick gif showing what I mean:

This happens on both my 2012 iMac and my 2018 Macbook Pro, so it doesn't seem to be a hardware problem. Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas on how to fix?

Hi Mark,

We're sorry for the issue you're having.  It sounds like you're experiencing a similar issue to this post (https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/photoshop-cc-2019-pixel-glitch).

If that's the case, can you please try enabling Preferences -> Performance -> Legacy Compositing to temporarily resolve this issue.  We have our engineers working on the fix as we speak!

Sincerely,
Andrew
