PHOTOSHOP - Text Editing State Is Not Preserved When Switching Applications

In Photoshop CC 2014, the text editing state is not preserved when switching applications. That is, if you're editing a text layer and then Cmd + Tab to a different application, then switch back to Photoshop, Photoshop is no longer in a text editing state. This can be interruptive in a wide variety of typical use situations, and is inconsistent with the behaviour in most other OS X applications.

Hi Nick,

Photoshop's text engine has always been modal.  This means that when it's active, the rest of the application is largely suspended.  And, when text is suspended (due to losing focus in the app), it is automatically deactivated.

Thanks,
David
