Tethered Capture with Lightroom cc15.7 / MACOS Sierra will not connect with Nikon D800, D500 or D90 also have problems with Camera Control Pro 2 so I am stuck with no way of connecting camera to screen.

Try contacting Nikon and fixing your Camera Control Pro 2 issue with them. The same fix will probably also fix your Lightroom tethering issue, since Adobe uses Nikon's SDK.

I am not aware Lightroom CC 2015.7 tether is not working on macOS Sierra. Since it is also not working with Camera Control Pro 2, I would first check your hardware, cables as such. https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/troubleshoot-tethered-capture-lightroom.html

Did a quick test in my setup, D800 tethering is working fine on macOS 10.12 (and 10.12.1) in my setup with Lightroom CC 2015.7.
