Lightroom/Camera Raw: Tamron 15-30 VC for Nikon D750 - Lens Profil Correction

I recently bought to Tamron 15-30 f/2.8 VC for Nikon.  Because I am using LR 5 it doesn't have the lens profile correction loaded.  I looked in other programs and it looks like it is included in CC and LR 6 but I don't have either of those.  Does anyone know the settings or can provide a link where I can download the settings on my mac?  I was told it is supported in LR 6 but since I don't have CC I don't have that as an available option.  When I go to AIR to download the LPD I get an error 413 when trying to download.  Any help would be awesome.

You can install the latest free Adobe DNG Converter https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/adobe-dng-converter.html to get the missing lens profiles.

Hmm... Just downloaded it.  Went and snapped a shot with my camera, upload to LR, convert to DNG.  Looking in the lens corrections and still not seeing the 15-30 listed. Any suggestions?

Did you restart Lr? According to https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/supported-lenses.html#Tamron, there is a "TAMRON SP 15-30mm F/2.8 Di VC USD A012N" supported for Lr since 6.6. It might be that the auto lens profile detection/matching did not work. If you pick the camera make and lens model manually, does the lens profile show up in the popup?

Contrary to what you've said, before, the ACR/DNG Converter profiles are NOT seen by LR.  Maybe it is only on Windows, but it's never worked for me and not working for this user.

I did restart.  When I open up Lens correction and add Tamron, there is a long list of tamron lenses but no SP 15-30.  I see a 17-50 and a 10-24 with different aperture values but no 15-30.   I know the new LR has it listed but there must be a way to load it for those of us who don't have Lightroom CC or haven't purchased the newest.

Steve is correct. My memory was failing me :-). Lightroom is setup such that for camera profiles, Lightroom is looking them in the all user shared camera profiles location, application package camera profiles location and user specific camera profiles location. For lens profiles, it is only looking in the application package lens profiles location and user specific profiles location.

@Dan After you have installed the DNG converter, go to the system "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw/Lens Profiles/1.0/Tamron/" in the Finder, you should see a lens profile named "NIKON CORPORATION (TAMRON SP 15-30mm F_2.8 Di VC USD A012N) - RAW.lcp". Copy and paste the file to your folder  "/Users/your-login-account/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw/Lens Profiles/1.0/". Then restart Lr.

Hey Simon, forgive me for not completely understanding this.. I did download yesterday.  When you say go to the system, are you talking Lightroom?  I go into LR, I click on Library on the menu but don't see application support anywhere.  If it makes any difference I am using a Mac.

By "system" Simon means an operating system application like Finder (on a Mac) or Explorer (on windows) or terminal prompt where you can see the files and folders on your computer.

He's talking about locations on your hard drive accessible through your operating system programs, not LR which is an application not "the system".
