I recently switched from Ps CS5 to Ps CC 2018 (now using 19.1.1). I want my workspace to be set up as it was in CS5. But can't get my Ps CC to stop opening my image (photo) files as Tabs. I have PC Admin control, no limits on permissions to Read/Write under Security and have repeatedly unchecked the Ps CC Edit > Prefs > Workspace options to Open as Tabs & Allow Floating Docs to Dock. I also tried to click on the Float All in Window option under the Window menu (as I was instructed to do for CS5 since I do a lot of compositing and often have multiple images open that I like to manage the size of - untabbed & undocked - in my workspace). Which also doesn't work as it did in CS5 (eg, set once and worked forever). No matter how many times I've tried these settings in Ps CC 2018, when I re-launch Ps the Prefs Option for 'Open as Tabs' has re-checked itself. I've tried everything to stop this bhvr - short of cancelling CC & going back to CS5. Is there a way to fix this bug? It's not a desired bhvr (to put it nicely...and is pretty frustrating workflow disturbing op after making the momentous decision to finally port over to CC). [p.s. I won't go through the process of uninstalling and re-installing Ps CC and all my actions, brushes, filters, prefs, etc. - it took me over a wk to get them all set up when I started the CC trial which just ended in the past wk - I'd rather cancel and get a refund on my annual commitment if that's the only fix]. Thx in adv for any fixes!
