Lightroom Mobile: Syncing photos with Apple Photos causing a run on memory

I recently imported a big folder of photos to my photos library and although I had paused syncing in LR for IOS, the syncing began and used all the storage I had in LR CC.  After searching for an answer, I find there is no way to shut the syncing feature off and still be able to use my IOS devices as I want.  I ended up deleting the LR app from iphone & ipad, which is especially bothersome in that my recent purchase of 12" ipad pro was to be able to use the app while traveling.  When it is fixed, I'll re-install

Hi Dan,

I don't mean to be overly simplistic but can you list the steps you used to add the folder of images to your photo library? I ask because I'm wondering if you added the folder to the Lightroom library or your iOS camera roll. 

In Lightroom Mobile if "Auto Add Photos" is turned off in the General settings it should not sync any images from the iOS camera roll.
