Syncing Photos from Lightroom Classic to Lightroom Web -- Image Size???

Hi All

Just signed up to Adobe's Photo Plan and want to take advantage of Adobe's Portfolio to showcase some work.  Really love the option & ease to sync my Lightroom Collections/Albums w/ web which Portfolio integrates easily with but I have some questions .

My workflow is this:
1) I manually copy all pics from SD to a folder hierachy on my Mac
2) I then import folder into my Lightroom Classic 8.3.1 library
2) Whilst viewing folder in Library, I flag keepers and make edits to those pics accordingly
3) I then 'Create a Collection' and add those keepers to it (
4) I then SYNC that collection with Lightroom Web for integrating w/ Portfolio

Question:
a) when syncing, does it upload the *full sized* images to web??
b) if so, how should I amend workflow to only sync a "web sized" version?  Do i need to export duplicate smaller copies and add those to a collection instead?

Thanks!

Nope, the images you’re sending to the web aren’t full res. In the workflow you described, Lightroom Classic would be creating smart previews and syncing those to the cloud. Smart previews are smaller versions. Don’t remember exactly, but 2560px sticks in my head.
