When i try to synchronize one of my folders that i know has additional pictures when viewing through explorer, Lightroom will recognize that there are pictures to add to the library however when you follow through with the synchronization, it goes on to tell you that there are no available pictures to add to the library.

Check the 'show import dialog' checkbox in the sync dialog, then uncheck the 'don't import suspected duplicates'. That will probably allow you to import the photos although they're duplicates of others already in your catalog at another location, so you may not want to do that.

I tried that this morning and it helped but not entirely. I found that another issue had to do with a hidden folder called .AppleDouble which was placed when i accessed the files through my network from a Macbook Air. Although even with both of those fixes, i still found the same problem, just on a much smaller scale.
