Lightroom Mobile: Sync RAW files

The wireless connection I use with both my 5D Mk4 & 1Dx2 to connect to my iPad cannot be used to transfer RAW files. JPEGs are transferred instead. Plugging in the SD card from the 5D through a SD to lightning connector allows me to import RAW files which I can then add to LightRoom & edit. Problem is, the 1Dx2 does not use SD & I cannot find a lightning CF adaptor to use. Is there one? Or better still, when will I be able to transfer RAW files wirelessly? This means I cannot use my 1Dx2 on my upcoming travels!!

Have you tried connecting your Canon 1DX2 directly to the iPad via the Camera Connector Kit (dongle) and the USB cable that came with your camera? A CF Card reader needs more power than the iPad can typically provide. Transferring from Camera to iPad directly using the camera's battery for power is the solution.

Yes, but then I have to carry a bulky connector cable, plus find a lightning to USB adaptor... Too many parts for travelling. At least with the SD adaptor it is small & simple. Why can’t I wirelessly copy over RAW?

I am sorry you don't like the solution but that is it - as it exists today.
